Will I lose control over the way I behave during trance?

No, you will always have a level of control during trance. You cannot be made to do anything you do not wish to do whilst in a hypnotic state, remember you will be safe with a well trained, professional practitioner.

Will I reveal information that I do not wish to?

No. It is possible that after experiencing the phenomenon of trance you may become more aware of something about yourself which might be a revelation to you. It is your choice if you wish to share this with the practitioner.

I have seen people on stage doing stupid things and things they didn’t want to do?

Most people who volunteer are were willing participants in an entertainment show. This is very different to clinical hypnotherapy.

What happens if I can’t be hypnotized?

Remember that hypnosis is a natural state which people experience often in their everyday life. Everybody is capable of experiencing a hypnotic state. During the hypnotic process there are a number of techniques that hypnotherapists have at their disposal to help you achieve the desired level of trance.

What if I forget everything you say?

You may not be conscious of some of the things which are said during a session but you will remember everything that you need to remember.

What if I don’t wake up?

Hypnosis is very similar to sleep so you will wake up naturally when you need to. It is important to remember that if ever you want to wake up all you need to do is open your eyes and you will be awake.

Will I be able to drive after?

You may feel a slight high which could make you feel slightly light headed but this will be brief. You will be just as safe to drive after the session.

How long does it take?

Most sessions are approximately 60 minutes but the first session lasts for 1 hour 30 minutes. One session treatments may vary in length.
